Ingredients
Batter
-
2 Large Whole Eggs
-
3 TBSP Unsweetened Almond Milk
Sandwich
-
2 Slices Thick Bread
-
2 TBSP FIt Butters Banana Maple French Toast Cashew Almond Butter
-
2 TBSP Sugar-Free Jelly
Toppings
-
1 TSP Grass-Fed Butter (Optional)
-
3 TBSP Sugar-Free Syrup
-
A Pinch of Powdered Sugar Alternative (Optional)
Directions
Mix eggs and almond milk together is shaker cup or bowl. The batter may be runny - this is fine. Pour into flat container and set aside.
Spread FIt Butters and jelly on a slice of bread. Compress slices of bread together forming a Monte Cristo sandwich.
Coat both sides of the Monte Cristo with the egg batter made in step one. The Monte Cristo should absorb the batter.
NOTE: you will have batter left over.
Cook the Monte Cristo on medium/high heat for 1-2 minutes per side.
Top Monte Cristo with grass-fed butter (optional), syrup and powdered sugar alternative.
