FIt Butters Rory's Cookie Monster Madness Mummy Hand Pies
A fun, festive snack and treat! They only take about 20-25 min to make! Totally worth the treat. A puff pastry that is easy to make with few ingredients that you or your kiddos will love!
1 pastry roll out sheet
3 tbsp FIt Butters Rory’s Cookie Monster Madness
½ Medium Sized banana
½ tsp of white granulated sugar
1-2 tbsp of almond milk
Preheat Oven to 350 F. Prepare pan with parchment paper and spray with oil.
Unroll your pastry sheet and make sure it is smooth and flat.
Cut half the sheet into rectangles. (about 4x2.5inches, made 5 rectangles) using a sharp pizza cutter. Use the other half to make thin strips.
Transfer rectangles to the the parchment paper lined pan and refrigerate for 5-10 min.
Place FIt Butters (we used the Rory’s Cookie Monster Madness) in center of rectangles (don’t over fill). Add some thin slices of banana on top of FIt Butters.
Brush some milk (of your choice) around the edge of the pastry, this will help the pastry stick. Pro Tip: Don’t add too much FIt Butters or it will cook out and make a mess while baking!
Lay extra strips of pastry zigzag (like a mummy) over rectangles. Press your finger to seal at the edges of each rectangle.
Brush all mummy’s with milk of choice and sprinkle with sugar (this will help the pastry’s turn golden brown).
Place into the middle of the pre-heated 350 F oven and bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and the pastry is flakey.
Remove from oven. Allow to cool some, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
Add googly eyes (found with sprinkles) to mummy’s to complete the look!
Serve as yummy snack once at room temperature!
